This page describes the privacy choices Apperah offers and how to exercise them — including the specific rights that United States state privacy laws give you (for example California’s CCPA/CPRA, and the laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with comparable laws).
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another region, the rights in our Privacy Policy apply to you in addition to anything on this page; the Privacy Policy is the complete statement of our practices.
Do we sell or share your personal information?
No. Apperah does not sell your personal information for money, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising (the specific meaning those words have under California law).
- We do not run a third-party advertising network on Apperah.
- We do not track you across other companies’ websites or apps.
- We do not exchange your contact list, your location history, or your activity data for money or for advertising targeting.
Because we do not sell or share in this sense, no opt-out action is required on your part. You can still exercise every right below, and we honour browser opt-out signals (see Global Privacy Control).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

| Limit use of sensitive personal information | Restrict our use of sensitive data (such as precise location) to what’s needed to provide the service. |
| Opt out of profiling | Opt out of solely-automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (Apperah does not make such decisions). |
| Non-discrimination | We will not deny you service, charge you more, or degrade your experience for exercising these rights. |
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If we ever introduced such sharing and your browser sent a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we would treat it as a valid opt-out for that browser. You can learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Sensitive personal information
We treat precise geolocation as sensitive. We use it only to provide features you ask for (like showing nearby places or sharing your availability with friends) — never to infer characteristics about you, and never for advertising. You can turn location off at any time in your device settings and in the app.
How to exercise your choices
You can use any of these:
- In the app — Settings → Your data to export or delete your data (and freeze your account); Settings → Edit profile to correct your details; Settings → Data & personalization and your device settings to manage analytics, AI recommendations, location, and notifications.
- Email — write to privacy@apperah.com with the subject “Privacy request”.
- This page — use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our website footer.
Verifying your request. To protect your account, we may need to confirm your identity before we act — usually by verifying control of your account email. We will not ask for more information than necessary.
Authorised agents. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of their authorisation and your identity.
Our timing. We respond as required by your local law — generally within 45 days, with one extension where permitted; we will notify you if an extension is needed.
Appeals. If we decline your request and your state gives you a right to appeal, you can reply to our decision and we will reconsider it. If you remain unsatisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
Children
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. See our Youth Safety framework.
